All orders are subject to our normal terms and conditions of sale. A copy of which is available upon request by contacting us using the details given below. By using this website you agree to those terms and those additional ones set out below.
All products are subject to availability and J C Tye and Son reserve the right at any time to substitute a product for one of equal or better quality.
All photographs and pictures are for illustration purposes only and are not a guarantee of the appearance of the product supplied.
All sizes and dimensions given are approximate and should be taken as being given only for guidance. In some cases certain sizes may only represent nominal measurements.
Any pallet returns must be accompanied with either the Order Reference number or the original sales receipt.
All prices are subject to change and will be updated regularly on our website.
It is your own responsibility as the purchaser to ensure that any product, service or information obtained from J C Tye and Son will meet your specific requirements, whether that product, service or information is gained in-store or from our website.
Orders Placed in Store
Orders placed via our website store may only be considered for return and credit at our discretion. Any returns will be subject to a 25% handling charge.
Multi buy offers cannot be exchanged or refunded in part.
All special orders of non-stock items must be paid for in full before being ordered and are subject to a non-refund and no return policy.
Proof of purchase is always required before any refund will be made.
Delivery
Delivery drivers are instructed to deliver to the kerbside and not to leave the main highway with their vehicle.
If requested by the Customer, and if the driver deems it safe to do so, then delivery off the highway may be made. In such cases this will only be undertaken at the Customers risk and neither J C Tye and Son nor our driver will accept liability for any damage caused whilst making the delivery. In such instances the Customer may be required to first sign an indemnity against any possible damage caused. J C Tye and Son also reserve the right to claim recompense from any customer for any damage unduly caused to our vehicles whilst delivering to site.
Courier deliveries, i.e. any delivery not made on one of our own vehicles but made by a third party, will usually only be made to the kerbside and will usually be unloaded using a hand pallet truck. Unloading using this method will not be possible on uneven or gravelled areas. Couriers are not responsible for any additional lifting or carrying of goods.
Any shortages, discrepancies, or breakages relating to a delivery must be reported to J C Tye and Son within 3 working days of delivery. No liability will be accepted if disclosure is made outside of this time limit. In the case of all courier deliveries any shortages, discrepancies, or breakages relating to the delivery must be noted on the couriers delivery document at the time of receipt of the goods. Agreement to any shortages, discrepancies, or breakages should then be acknowledged and signed for on the delivery document by the couriers delivery driver. Failure to obtain this acknowledgement and signature will mean that we reserve the right to refuse to accept any liability in such cases.
The Customer accepts responsibility for ensuring that no obstruction is caused to any public road or footpath by the delivered goods when they have been unloaded.
Website Conditions of Sale
Payment
We accept Credit Cards and Debit Cards via our preferred online payment method.
The cards we accept are MasterCard / Visa / Visa Delta / Visa Electron / Visa Purchasing / JCB / Solo / Switch.
We will accept payment over the telephone, if preferred, by proceeding through checkout as normal and then calling with invoice and card details.
Goods will not be delivered until the customer’s funds have been paid to J C Tye and Son and have cleared in full.
When payment has been received your order will be processed and we will contact you by email or telephone to confirm the purchase and arrange for delivery to be made.
Order Notes
Please note that all transactions will be carried out in GBP. Once you have placed your order, confirmation will be sent to you via e-mail complete with Transaction and Order Reference numbers. J C Tye and Son do monitor prices on a regular basis. However we will not be held responsible for pricing errors due to software mal-functions, or human error. This website operates on an ‘invitation to treat’ basis and not as an ‘offer for sale’ as a result, J C Tye and Son have the right to decline any order.
Cancellation
We reserve the right to cancel any order if we have insufficient stock to fulfil that order within 28 days.

When asked for payment you will be passed on to a Secure Order Processing page, your details will be encrypted by 128-bit industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to provide encryption of personal information such as your name, address and credit card details.
Privacy Policy
We collect only the basic personal details required to process your order. We will not release your name, address, email address or any other information about our customers to any outside party. We will not trade, resell, sell, or redistribute information that you provide to us, to any other companies, organisations or individuals.
Your information provided to us during the ordering process is protected by 128-bit industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to provide encryption of personal information such as your name, address and credit card details. This server encrypts information while it is being transmitted across the Internet so that unauthorised people cannot read it.
Delivery
We offer delivery on our own vehicles to selected postcodes within a defined radius of our premises. A charge may be made for delivery which will be listed separately on your itemised bill. For details of this consult the “delivery” page of our website. All courier deliveries will incur a charge.
All collections made from our premises are free of any delivery charge.
Returns Policy & Guarantee
In accordance with the EU Distance Selling Directive, you are entitled to cancel your order at anytime within 7 days of receiving your goods. The cancellation period ends on the expiry of 7 working days, beginning with the day after the customer receives the goods. If you wish to cancel an order under these terms, you must first contact us quoting your Order Reference number to arrange the return of your products to us unopened (i.e. with the original packaging and banding still present and intact) and undamaged within 7 days of receiving the goods. If you cancel your order you will be responsible for arranging to return the goods to us and for the cost incurred in doing so. Once the goods have been received back by us, and have been checked to ensure they have been returned in the same condition as they were supplied, we will arrange to re-credit your credit/debit card. This will be done as soon as possible and anyway within a period of 30 days from the day cancellation was given. Only the value of the goods will be refunded. Any delivery charge relating to the goods and made by us is non refundable.
